Emma:  Picky eating is a phase of development that many children go through, often from around 18 months.  Fussy eating is usually characterised by children refusing to eat a food or spitting it out.  In order to avoid food refusal, it’s important to continue to offer your child a wide variety of foods, not to worry or make too much fuss if a food isn’t eaten, and to re-offer refused foods on a later occasion without any pressure for the child to eat it.  For more information, check out the Child Feeding Guide: https://www.childfeedingguide.co.uk/tips/common-feeding-pitfalls/food-refusal/
Jill: Most children will eat when hungry so try not to worry if your child is growing and gaining weight it will be an indication that they are getting enough calories
